Hi, I'm Sarah, an Experienced Counsellor, Psychotherapist & Supervisor
Life can be difficult for all of us, at different times, for different reasons. When things feel overwhelming it can be helpful to seek counselling support. As a therapist, I offer a safe and confidential space for you to talk through any issues or challenges that you may be experiencing. It can be helpful to explore what is going on for you and to share your fears, thoughts and feelings.
I offer individual counselling to adults, young people and trainee counsellors. I also work with couples in therapy. As a qualified supervisor I provide clinical supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors.
I currently offer Face to Face sessions, Online sessions (via Zoom) Walk and Talk sessions and Telephone sessions.
Working together - what to expect
My aim is to provide you with a relationship built upon trust, openness and honesty, where you can feel accepted without judgement. As your therapist, I will not give advice or offer the answers to your problems, but I will remain alongside you and help you find your own way forward.
Working from a Humanistic approach, we will focus upon what is happening for you in the present, however, past experiences and relationships clearly affect our present so these are explored as they arise. I take the lead from my client and work at their pace and gently challenge when appropriate to facilitate different/new perspectives and to help increase self awareness.
I understand that the process of seeking counselling support can feel daunting so I do my upmost to create an environment where my client feels comfortable and at ease. I offer a free 20 minute consultation via zoom or telephone. This is an opportunity for us to meet remotely to discuss your needs and whether I am the right person to support you. I will also answer any questions you may have.
Please see my 'Testimonials' page which provides feedback from the people I have previously supported. This is aimed to provide you with a helpful insight of how I work as a counsellor and how counselling support has been beneficial to others.
Please feel free to contact me either by email or phone, if you have any questions or wish to make an appointment. I offer a free 20 minute counselling assessment online via zoom or by telephone .

What Counselling and Psychotherapy Can Help With
Counselling and Psychotherapy can help with depression, low mood and anxiety including panic/panic attacks. Exploring the root of these issues and finding new strategies for coping can help to improve life dramatically.
I have supported many clients, carers and families who have experienced loss, bereavement, and terminal / life limiting illness. Having someone to share your struggles with and to speak to confidentiality can be of huge benefit.
I am also experienced in helping clients who have experienced difficulties with:
